From Argentina to Sicily: a story of courage, love, and beautiful things
My name is Mara, and my story begins far from here, in Córdoba, Argentina.
For years, I worked as a hairdresser and image consultant. I loved my job for the colors, the trends, the aesthetics… but most of all for one thing: seeing people's smiles when they feel good about themselves.
Yet I felt something was missing. I dreamed of traveling, discovering my Italian roots, finding a deeper meaning in what I did.
In 2019, I made the most difficult and courageous decision of my life: I packed everything into a suitcase and left for Italy, seeking my grandparents' citizenship.
I arrived in Sicily on March 8, 2020, precisely the day the world stopped.
I found myself far from my family, in an unknown land, and during a complicated historical moment. But it is often in chaos that the most beautiful things are born.
In that house, in the province of Catania, I met Angelo. What was supposed to be just my landlord became my life partner, my rock, and the first to believe in me.
From that personal and global storm, I emerged transformed. Today, I am a mother to a beautiful little girl and I realized that I no longer wanted to "work just for the sake of working."
I wanted to create something with a soul.
Thus, in 2023, Cosas Bonitas was born.
Why in Spanish? Because it is my mother tongue, my essence. And because, despite everything, I chose to focus on the beautiful things in life.
Our workshop
It all started with a simple question from Angelo: "Why don't we try to make it ourselves?"
From a small mug press, our artisan workshop has grown step by step. Today, we create personalized gifts with DTF printing and sublimation, combining Argentinian creativity with Sicilian warmth.
Every order is handcrafted, with care and attention to detail. We are not a factory — we are a family that puts its heart into every creation.
